I have been doing a lot of research on them and I notice the big thing is that they are illegal in the USA. But I have seen many of them in cars especially my friend the put them in his mustang. The color temp I'm looking at is the 6000k I don't want to draw attention to myself. I just want the look of HID and the benefits of them. I have also read on websites saying that since my car has projector headlamps that HID conversion kits work good in them since they have a cut off for glare. My question to you guys is what would you do if you were in my shoes. I don't want this HID conversion to cause me to get tickets in the future. Any help would be appreciated especially any of you guys that may have put these in before and are using them.

keep it at about 4300-6000k and you wont have any problems. once you go 8000k and up they look blue and than theyll bust you for it.
This is mainly due to the fact that your lights must be considered White not blue or purple. There are HID lights that look blue but still give off white light. Also a good indicator that the lights are legal is looking for the DOT approval on the box.
