E85 is fine for your engine if you have an E85 compatible engine. And it is coming soon. Its out in the Midwest right now, but is making it's way to the East. I know we have 1 service station in CT. Usually the first station that serves it will be near an airport, so look there first. Also, the mileage is about 1 to 3 miles per gallon worse than regular fuel, however as E85 grows in popularity, it will continue to go down in price. (I believe its a little cheaper than gas now).
But unfortunatly, I don't think E85 is going to be the final answer. A huge step towards it yes, but not the final answer.

device's reflective screen. At a thickness of just 50 micron, the film
essentially acts as a light guide, spreading the LED's beams across a reader's
display and creating a "soft glow" that many predecessors have thus far failed
