July 2000 |
Greetings
Redliners,
Well, we made it back from Darknights in Toronto all in one
piece. We had a great time and wish more members could have made
the trip. The good news is that we made a really great
impression on our neighbors to the north and were contacted by
the organizers of The Import Society who will be sponsoring
another event July 30th. Not only that, but Cossie's Escort and
my Accord will be in the next issue of Performance Auto and
Sound as well as a club feature on Redline Motorsport! Even more
exciting is that Super Street Magazine will soon have a feature
of a fellow Redliner, Jeremy and his EBP Si. I am sure you have
all seen his car, if not check out the message board for photos
from Garage Day or CIN. Congrats, SirJer! We are planning on a
trip to get to London, Ont. Before the Import Society event on
the 30th for a massive photo shoot and to be staged in a high
visibility area, so get your rides ready. We have had a few more
Garage Days to prepare for Toronto and they both were productive
and enjoyable. Thanks goes out to Jake and his family as well as
Scontour again for putting us up and playing host while we were
busy wrenching on our cars. As we gain momentum as a club, we
have decided to put the store on hold for now. It is becoming
more and more effort to stay on top of events and keep members
and the web site under control. We will still be able to get the
same parts; we just won't be selling to anyone unless they are
part of our club. As you may know, the new and improved Message
Board has been a very useful tool for those who like to hang out
on a regular basis. Please take the time and thank MattSi for
his help. Jedidiah will be helping out in updating the featured
member's rides page as we all have updates to show and will
change on a regular basis, so look for the updated page soon.
Other news: If you have not received your windshield banner yet,
that it must mean we have not received your dues, or
application. Please take time to let us know if this is correct.
We did have some losses of Redline funds due to trying another
supplier, but decided to stay with our first shop though she was
more expensive. It was important to us to keep all the banners
the same. There is a lot going on this summer so keep updated
via the message board and hope to see you at the next event.
Speed ya later, Thomas |
