Summer is coming Fast and Furious! Pardon the pun, but for those who have not yet seen this Universal Pictures film, you are in for one hell of a ride! The analogy of Point Break trading surf boards for hot cars is right on; and we all know hot cars are way better than surf boards! Paul Walker, a down to earth and genuine guy, did a Q & A session after our special screening. Good luck with your career Paul, and YES, we do want a sequel!
Street Dreams was the warm up for this season and there was a strong showing from the local clubs, including Team Ballistek, Team First Gear, and of course Redline Motorsport. Redline members won awards in several catagories including Best Acura, Best Honda and several other catagories as well as cleaning house in the door prize catagory. All in all, Redline Motorsport drove away with at least half of the awards- not bad! But the big news is the first place team award Redline Motorsport took home. Congrats to us all on a job well done! But it was good practice for the two big events just around the corner, Hot Import Nights in Chicago and Darknights in Toronto. The show season is upon us (see Events Page), and cars are looking tight! New body kits and blowers, coil-overs and nitrous, plus a few surprises are out there too!
Congrats to all who show pride in their rides, and a warm welcome to the new members. If it ever stops raining, we'll look forward to seeing everyone out at the shows, auto-x's and track events. |
