Greetings
Redliners,
We have gotten off to a great start this season with a very
successful Garage Day. We speculate there were a total of 42
cars at the event an d even more people, who were friendly and
looking a little like kids at a playground. For those of us who
stayed late and went to Gratiot, even more fun (and some
confusion) was on hand. Thanks to all who showed up, But mostly
we should thank Scott for putting us up at his place, letting us
use his phone (sorry for that call to Amsterdam, Scott) and use
the bathroom. Mostly for the cooking and grocery getting.
Thanks, Buddy.
There is a lot of talk about Hot Import Nights in Chicago that
will take place the weekend of June third. If you plan on
attending, please let us know ASAP. We are booking rooms within
the week and will need a deposit to show you are serious. We are
planning on leaving Friday, and returning Sunday, which means a
two-night hotel stay. To keep the costs down I think we have
decided on staying somewhere in Indiana. More information will
follow. Keep checking into our message forum for up to date
detail as they develop. There has also been a lot of talk about
the forum Club Si. I encourage everyone to sign on and get
aquatinted with other Hondamaniacs in the Detroit area. Though
you may not have a Si, it is still a good source for information
and a great way to make new friends. Just be careful as some of
the moderators have some issues.
It looks like we have decided on the Redline Banner. It will be
a 2'x6' waterproof banner that will be displayed behind the cars
at shows, posted in our corner of the world at races and will
also be useful in marking territory during events such as
another Garage Day (which should be in the middle of next month)
One last thing, if you have not paid Scott $5 for the food at
the last GD, please find it in your heart to do so. Last I heard
he was short. The event was a sort of Open House but I still
expected everyone to help out. He did cook for us, after all.
That is all for now. Speed ya later, Thomas |
